Description
Pen-y-gaer is a two-storey house with three windows, designed in a style similar to the North and South Lodges of Penrhyn Old Hall and the exterior of the northeast wing of Penrhyn Old Hall. The house features stone walls and a slate gabled roof with a red tile ridge, along with rendered rectangular chimneys. The windows are mullioned with leaded casement glazing. On the first floor, there is a central two-light window flanked by three-light windows. The ground floor includes a doorway with an ashlar frame (with a modern door) and three-light mullion and transom windows aligned below the upper floor windows, as well as an additional two-light window immediately to the left of the door. The right gable has a three-light window on the first floor above a four-light window on the ground floor. There is a modern extension to the left of the front.
