Detached classroom block at Ysgol Maelgwyn

This is a 1-storey classroom block at Ysgol Maelgwyn, featuring pebble-dashed walls and a half-hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. The front of the building faces north towards the school yard and includes an outshut with entrances in the end walls, which have half-glazed boarded doors. The outshut contains replacement small-pane casement windows situated under two central gables, along with smaller 12-pane sash windows on the right and left. Most of the other windows are original small-pane horned sashes.

On the main range front, there are two triple 12-pane windows to the left of the outshut and a tripartite 18-pane window to the right, which has pivoting upper small-pane lights. The east end wall features a 5-light small-pane window beneath the eaves, while the west end wall has a tripartite 12-pane window flanked by single 16-pane windows, each with pivoting upper lights. The south wall showcases an advanced gable with two 2-light windows, two 3-light windows to its right, and four 2-light windows to its left, all with small-pane replacement glazing in earlier openings. The building has not been inspected.
