Description
The toll gate and gate piers at the entrance to Marl Farmyard date from the 19th century. The structure features a wrought-iron gate set between two large stone piers that have pyramid-shaped caps. The gate is painted black and includes sunburst bars that radiate from the inner corners, showcasing the distinctive Telford style. A later addition is a bolt.
