Description
4 Ael-y-Bryn Road is a building designed in the simple Arts and Crafts style, likely created by the architects North and Padmore from Llanfairfechan. It features roughcast render and a plain tiled roof with axial and end wall stacks. The structure is two storeys high and showcases stepped asymmetrical gables that face the street.
The central gable includes a porch and staircase, with the roof sloping down to the right to form the porch, which features a shouldered archway aligned with the inner doorway. There is a narrow stair window at the center of the gable. To the left, a wider gable that is slightly set back houses the principal living room, which has a 3-light, metal-framed, casement window on each floor. To the right of the entrance, a narrower bay has similar 2-light casement windows on both floors, with the upper window located in a catslide dormer that breaks the eaves line. The roofs are supported by bold plain brackets, and all windows have slight, swept hood moulds above them.
