Description
The Church of St David is a Grade II listed building constructed from squared random limestone rubble with red sandstone dressings and a red plain tiled roof. This low building features a nave with an apsidal chancel at the west end and is designed in the Perpendicular style. The entrance is located in the east-facing gable, which has a lean-to timber framed porch and a 3-light traceried window above. The main body of the church is divided into four unequally sized bays by raking buttresses, and it has flat-headed windows with two and three lights. At the east end, a slate-hung bell turret, square in plan, rises to an angled spirelet.
Inside, the single space is divided into five bays by hammerbeam trusses, featuring a simple chamfered wood arch and wrought iron scrolled rails crafted by a local blacksmith, David Jones, leading to the apsidal sanctuary.
