Description
The icehouse located to the northwest of the Kitchen Garden at Kinmel is a Grade II listed structure. It features a facade made of limestone rubble, with an entrance that includes a re-used ovolo-moulded beam. Most of the building is buried within a hillock.
An approach passage, about 6 meters long, leads to the domed icehouse, which has a diameter of approximately 3 meters. The dome is constructed with diminishing brick courses. The lower section of the ice chamber has been filled in.
