Description
Garden House is a Grade II listed Gothic style house built of coursed limestone with slate roofs. It has two storeys and features two gables on each front, along with stone stacks. The eastern wing gable is set forward, and the entrance door is located on the western side. Each floor has three-light trefoil-headed painted stone windows, while the northern side of the western range has four-light windows that overlook an extensive view. The house has minimal bargeboards and a stone stack with a battered top section, topped with yellow pots on the western gable. On the northern side, there is a heraldic stone carving that displays the Hughes arms impaling Ravensworth, although the Lewis arms are omitted. The building was not accessible during the inspection in March 1997.
