Description
31 Mostyn Street is a building that consists of two shops with accommodation above, constructed in the late 19th to early 20th century. It stands three storeys high with an attic and features a stucco exterior. The front elevation has two windows, and the building is topped with a slate gabled roof and an eaves cornice.
Each shop has two segmental-headed dormers with sash glazing. On the upper floors, there is a three-light segmental-headed window with sash glazing on the left and a single-light segmental-headed window on the right. The first floor features a semi-circular five-light bay window on the left and a paired sash window with an architrave and cornice on the right.
A cast-iron veranda, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, adorns the front. The veranda has plain columns with ornate capitals and a lean-to roof, which is currently obscured by a modern advertisement board.
