Description

Ty'n y Twll is a farmhouse, built of coursed rubble with a slate roof, featuring a rooflight and a large gable stack at the north end. The house dates to the 18th century and has a symmetrical two-bay frontage, extending to the right as an open-fronted cart shed. The central entrance has a boarded door set back within the wall thickness. Small-paned windows are located on both floors to either side of the door, with an additional window above the entrance. The cart shed to the right has a cambered timber lintel, with a granary situated above it, accessible by an external stone staircase at the gable end. A two-storey, one-bay rear service wing, seemingly contemporary with the main house, is located to the left, featuring a door and two-light windows on each floor, along with a gable stack.

Inside, the layout includes a living room on the left, a central stair hall, and a parlour originally without heating, positioned on the right.
