Description

Dolperis is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century. The house is constructed of regularly coursed and dressed rubble blocks, with the left gable end painted. It has a slate roof with small, integrated rendered end stacks. The full-height gable features bargeboards and carved double-purlin ends that rise from the eaves without a break. The front facade has three windows. The first floor has nine-pane glazing bar sashes, with the centre window in a slightly projecting section. The ground floor windows have twelve panes, with a bracketed, pedimented hood above the window on the left, and a bracketed lean-to hood above the window on the right. A small nine-pane sash window is located in the attic gable. The central entrance has a half-glazed door with margin lights and raised and fielded panels in a plain surround, approached by a short flight of slate steps. The left gable end has two glazing bar sashes to each floor. A two-storey lean-to range is attached to the rear left corner.

Inside, the narrow central staircase hall has a plaster ceiling panel with an enriched cornice and a decorative rose, with a bracketed arch beyond. The staircase behind the hall has a plain moulded handrail, stick balusters, and a radiating, clustered newel post at the foot. A plain moulded cornice is present in the left ground-floor room.
