Description

Lower Viaduct is a railway viaduct featuring 13 skewed round-headed arches that rise quickly in height to form an incline, with an additional half arch above the natural rock at the top end. The structure is built from snecked rock-faced rubblestone blocks, which are topped with heavily tooled ashlar coping. The arches are accented with toothed purple brick.
