Description
Pandy'r-Odyn Cottages is a building constructed with rubble masonry and features a steeply pitched slate roof with oversailing eaves. The roof has close verges on the right side and exposed purlins on the left. There is a stone end stack on the right and a projecting lateral stack on the left rear, which has slated offsets and a gablet. The building is adorned with moulded caps and water tabling.
It has four hipped dormers with rubble cheeks and lead valleys. The cottage includes two-light casement windows, with the two on the right having sixteen small panes each. All seven windows on the ground floor are two-light casements, some of which were originally doors, and they feature stone lintels. The present doorway is located between the sixth and seventh windows and is framed by a gabled porch with stone side walls, a fishscale slate roof, scalloped bargeboards, and a finial. The entry has a horseshoe-shaped timber arch resting on corbels, and the door is a ribbed plank design with iron bands.
To the left end, there is a later infill wall with two two-light casement windows on each floor. The right end shows the remains of a later extension with a two-light window set into a former doorway. There is also an unsympathetic modern paving treatment to the gable end, which covers a lean-to outshot.
In the garden at the right rear, there is a 19th-century row of three privies, constructed from rubble masonry with a slate roof. These privies have doorheads to the eaves and plank doors featuring a rectangular vent hole at the top.
