Description
Brechfa is a building constructed from rubble stone with slate roofs. The taller section on the left features two windows, which are offset to the right, along with end stone stacks, 12-pane sash windows, and a door with an overlight. The stone voussoirs above the openings are a notable detail. The two cottages are both double-fronted, each with 16-pane tilting windows and central doors, also featuring stone voussoirs. There is a ridge stack and a stack at the right end, as well as a lean-to on the right end wall.
The left end of the building has a two-storey section with boarding within the entry that displays pencil graffiti likely dating from the late 19th century. The left cottage includes a lath-and-plaster chimney hood on a thin cross beam at the left end. Inside, the centre passage is cobbled, but there are no internal signs of fireplaces associated with the centre ridge stack.
