Description
Oerddwr-Uchaf is a two-storey farmhouse dating from the 19th century, featuring three windows and a two-bay section that may have been a stable or brewhouse on the left side. The building is constructed of whitened rubble and has a continuous slate roof, with squat chimneys at each end and a slab-coped gable parapet on the rear pitch of the left gable. The central entrance to the farmhouse has a boarded door, flanked by late 19th-century four-pane sash windows. Above these are three slightly smaller four-pane casement windows located under the eaves, all with projecting slate sills. The former stable or brewhouse section includes another boarded door and casement windows on both floors to the left. Above the door, there is a modern commemorative plaque dedicated to W F Hughes. Attached to the left gable end is a simple later lean-to, and on the right side, there is a small iron waterwheel with wooden spokes.
