Description

Single-span, segmentally-arched road bridge, probably early C19. Of rubble construction with recessed voussoirs beneath an arch-ring of narrow stones; rough-dressed voussoirs. Slab-coped rubble parapets, rising with the humped carriageway to the centre and splayed at the approaches. The down-stream side has a benchmark at the apex, while the upstream side has plain terminating buttress piers; its northern parapet continues for some 4m beyond.
