Description

Pont Garreg-Hylldrem is a single-span, segmentally-arched road bridge, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble, featuring recessed voussoirs beneath an arch-ring made of narrow stones, with rough-dressed voussoirs. The bridge has slab-coped rubble parapets that rise with the humped carriageway towards the center and are splayed at the approaches. On the downstream side, there is a benchmark at the apex, while the upstream side includes plain terminating buttress piers. The northern parapet extends approximately 4 meters beyond the bridge.
