Description

4 Y Lawnt is a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are canted forward at the center and constructed with coursed rubble masonry. The cottages feature a gently pitched slate roof with oversailing eaves, close verges, and modern bargeboards. Stone stacks and water tabling are also present.

The upper floors have shallow sashes with 9 panes in the first-floor windows, while No 5 has modern glazing. The ground floor windows typically have 12 panes, except for No 5, which has deep stone lintels above them. The doorways are adorned with 3-pane rectangular fanlights. No 4 retains its original flush panel door, and stone thresholds are found at Nos 3 and 4, complemented by slate doorsteps.
