Description

3 Heol Tan-y-bryn is a row of twelve houses, located in Abergynolwyn. The houses were built of irregular coursed slate rubble with slate roofs, red roll clayware ridges, and deep eaves and verges. Each house is two storeys high with a double-depth plan and a lateral passage to the entrance. They each feature a four-panelled door with raised mouldings, a narrow overlight, and glazed upper panels. Flush stone lintels are above the ground floor openings. The houses have sixteen-paned sash windows on both floors, with the upper floor windows being smaller and narrower. Chimneys are grouped on the party walls between the houses. At the rear is a regular, two-storey slated service wing, whitewashed to the sides, with a slate roof and red roll ridges, along with lean-to additions. The windows are original.
