Description

7A to 10A Heol Tan-y-bryn, Abergynolwyn

Row of 4 four houses numbered 7A to 10A from the E, built of slate rubble with slate roofs. Two storeys, with attics and cellars, double-depth plan of two and 3 bays. Doors with 3 raised-moulded panels, set in staff-moulded frames and deep fanlights over. Twelve-paned sash windows to ground and first floors, and 6-pane windows to the attic at the rear. All openings have deep stone lintels, and chimney stacks with outsetting heads set on the party walls.

The building, which is at the SW end of the row, is of 3 window bays, with the original 3-panelled door but with an arch in the fanlight. Twelve-paned horned sash windows, but a former opening, perhaps a shop window, to the right of the door has been replaced with a tripartite uPVC window. Later extensions to the rear and 3 roof lights.
