Lofted stables and cartshed range at Llanddwywe Farm

The lofted stables and cartshed range at Llanddwywe Farm is a linear structure made up of two units, aligned roughly east-west and situated on rising ground. The main elevation faces the house and yard to the north. It is constructed from mortared rubble masonry, with the western unit featuring roughly coursed stonework, large stones used as quoins and lintels, and a slate roof with stone copings. The southern pitch has been re-roofed with profiled metal sheeting.

The older eastern unit has two windows alternating with wide doors, which appear to have been widened. The windows are horizontally sliding sashes with two lights, one of which is boarded, while the doors are boarded as well, with the right door (to the west) being a sliding door. Access to the loft is provided by a boarded door in the eastern gable, which is reached by a flight of stone steps.

The western unit features a door at the far right (west) end and a single window to the left. There is also a single loft window in the apex of the western gable, and an external flight of stone steps leads to a loft door in the rear wall.

The interior was not inspected during the survey.
