Agricultural Range SW of Glyn Lledr

This is a rubble-built barn range dating from 1797, located southwest of Glyn Lledr. It features a continuously-roofed, storeyed stable addition to the north, topped with a slate roof that has a tiled ridge and a brick parapet on the left gable. The barn has opposing boarded central entrances, with a scratched date of 1797 on the right side of the east elevation. There is a smaller entrance to the right, which includes a stable door and an exposed timber lintel, as well as a ventilation slit on the far left and three additional vents on the left gable. At the rear, there is a catslide projection on the left with two small windows and a boarded entrance on the left return, also featuring brick parapets. The narrower stable block is flush with the front (east) and has a symmetrical two-window storeyed design with a central recessed boarded door. The windows are small-pane sash types with upper glazing intact and slatted vents on the lower halves, along with projecting slate cills and large slatestone lintels. Above the entrance, the date 1821 is inscribed along with the name 'Griffith Jones'. There is also a reduced, slatted loft door on the right gable. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the survey in October 1996.
