Description

The north-east range of the farmyard at Ty'n y Cornel is a building comprising an open-fronted cowhouse with an attached piggery. It was likely constructed in the 18th or 19th century. The cowhouse is built of rubble stone and features an open front supported by cast iron columns set upon large boulders, creating three bays. It has a slate roof supported by a single tier of softwood purlins. A stairwell at the rear provides access to the terrace in front of the farmyard. The piggery projects slightly forward and contains three sties, each with a small stone-walled enclosure on its south-east side.
