Description

Bodafon and Fronfa is an early 19th-century terrace consisting of two houses, each with two bays. The buildings are constructed of rubble and topped with a continuous slate roof featuring central and end chimneys. They have a plain cornice and later 19th-century ceramic pots. Each house has its entrance on the left, with original 16-pane recessed sash windows on the right and on the first floor, all evenly spaced, and projecting slate cills.

Bodafon, on the right, features a late 19th-century partially open wooden porch, which is closed on the west side, and has a part-glazed modern door. Fronfa, on the left, has a modern glazed porch that is not in keeping with the original style, topped with a slated lean-to roof, and has modern outer and inner doors, the latter being glazed.

The east gable end of Fronfa slopes downhill, resulting in a basement. It has a central entrance with double doors and flanking windows featuring modern 9-pane glazing. Above this, there is a blocked opening leading to the raised ground floor, flanked by modern windows, with one on the right having 9 panes. The first floor includes two 19th-century 16-pane sashes, similar to those below, and a 12-pane window at the gable apex.

At the rear of Fronfa, there is a low, storied contemporary coach house block. This has a coach/cart entrance on the east side with boarded doors and a 12-pane sash window above. There is external stepped access to the upper entrance at the south gable end.
