Description
Fronfa and Bodafon are an early 19th century terrace of two houses. They are built of rubble with a continuous slate roof, featuring central and end chimneys, a plain cornice, and later 19th century ceramic roof pots. Each house has an entrance on the left side, and original 16-pane recessed sash windows to the right and on the first floor, evenly spaced, with projecting slate sills. Bodafon, on the right, has a late 19th century, partially open wooden porch, closed to the west, with a modern, partly glazed door. Fronfa, on the left, has a modern glazed porch with a slated lean-to roof, along with modern outer and inner doors, the latter being glazed. The east gable end of Fronfa is downhill, and includes a basement. This gable has a central entrance with double doors and flanking windows with modern 9-pane glazing. A blocked opening is above the ground floor, flanked by modern windows, one of which has 9 panes. Two 19th century 16-pane sash windows are situated on the first floor, as are similar windows in the gable apex. A low, two-story contemporary coach house block adjoins the rear of Fronfa. The coach house has a coach/cart entrance on the east side with boarded doors and a 16-pane sash window above. External stepped access leads to an upper entrance at the south gable end.
