Description

Tyddyn-y-Pwll is a one-and-a-half storey, three-bay farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century. It is built of whitened rubble with boulder foundations. The roof is covered in old slate, although the northern half had collapsed by November 1995, and has plain end chimneys. The entrance is near the centre of the front, featuring a pegged oak doorcase and a boarded door. Above the entrance is a stone plaque inscribed 'RI ME/ TANGHEFEDD/ DDVW A FO YN/ YN TV HWN/ AMEN 1703'. Flanking the entrance are two-light, unglazed windows with timber lintels. Three two-light casement windows are located on the attic floor, set within plain gabled dormers. Two plain, unglazed window openings are present at the rear. An original four-bay collar truss roof and dividing boarded partitions were noted, but the interior was not inspected during the survey in November 1995.
