Description

5A Heol Tan-y-bryn is part of a row of cottages located on the south side of Heol Tan-y-bryn in Abergynolwyn. The cottages are constructed from irregular coursed slate rubble and feature slate roofs with deep eaves and verges. Each cottage has a single bay and a double depth plan, with a lateral passage leading from the entrance. The entrance includes a four-panelled door with a rounded moulded transom above the overlight. The upper panels of the door have raised mouldings, while the lower panels are flush bead. Each cottage has twelve-paned sash windows, one on each floor, which do not have horns, with the upper floor windows being shorter. Some alterations include a uPVC door and overlight, as well as twelve-pane fixed light windows.
