Description
Floreat is a row of cottages located on the south side of Heol Tan-y-bryn in Abergynolwyn. The cottages are numbered from the eastern end and are constructed from irregular coursed slate rubble with slate roofs featuring deep eaves and verges. Each cottage has a single bay and a double depth plan, with a lateral passage leading from the entrance. The entrance features a four-panelled door with a rounded moulded transom above the overlight. The upper panels have raised mouldings, while the lower panels are flush bead. Each cottage has twelve-paned sash windows, one on each floor, without horns, with the upper floor windows being shorter. Additionally, there is a modern painted four-panelled door with fielded panels.
