Description
The Barn Range at Gogarth Hall is a Grade II listed structure built from well-cut and coursed rubble stonework, topped with a continuous slate roof that features a coped raised gable at the lower south end. The range includes a cowhouse at the upper northwest end, which is of a separate build, and a barn along with a storeyed stable or store at the lower end, which also concludes with a coped gable.
The cowhouse range has stable-type doors and vented openings facing west. The barn features a narrow pair of high doors with a segmental voussoired arch, and a datestone located immediately above these doors, under the eaves. On either side of the barn, there are two tiers of slit vents, along with an additional five vents in the lower gable end. At the rear, there is a matching door to the barn, further ventilation slits, and two pitching openings situated under the eaves.
