Description
The farm building at Perfeddnant is constructed from local rubble stone and features a corrugated asbestos roof set between end coped gables. It consists of three bays: the lower bay serves as a storeroom, which may have originally been a small barn or workshop, while the upper two bays functioned as a stable or small cowhouse. There is a single door to the storeroom located beside an external stone stair, and a stable door leads into the upper bays, which also include a single ventilated window. Above, there is a storage loft accessed by a pitching door in the upper gable end, and the lower gable end has two slit vents. Additionally, the building has been extended by a lean-to at the rear.
Inside, the two upper bays contain transverse mangers. The single truss between these upper bays is of a cruck derivative form, featuring slightly curved principals that spring from within the walls and are secured by a pegged collar, with the apex halved. There are trenches for two tiers of purlins, although these are now missing.
