Description
2 Castle Ditch is a late Georgian house featuring four bays and three storeys. The exterior has roughcast walls with stone rusticated angle pilasters and a graded slate roof with projecting bracketed eaves. On the right side, there is a roughcast stack. The windows are set in moulded architraves, with 12-pane hornless sashes on the lower and middle storeys, while the upper storey has shorter 6-pane sashes. The entrance is located in the bay to the left of centre and includes a replaced fielded-panel door with an overlight. A thin stone band runs between the lower and middle storeys. The left gable end features a 12-pane hornless sash window on the lower right, above which is a small bullseye window in the upper storey. The rear of the house is connected to a large office block built in 1983. The plan has been altered, and there are no original details remaining.
