15 Castle Street

11-15 Castle Street is a group of buildings consisting of a mirrored pair of three-storey, one-bay shops with dwellings above (numbers 13 and 15) and a single-window house (number 11) on the left. Number 15 features a scribed render front, while the render has been removed from numbers 11 and 13, exposing coursed rubble stone. The block has a renewed slate roof and a roughcast stack that has been rebuilt in brick to the left of numbers 13 and 15.

Number 11 has seemingly renewed openings with flat brick heads, including a panelled door and overlight on the left side, along with four-pane horned sash windows that are shorter on the upper storey. The doorways for numbers 13 and 15 are located on the outer sides, each featuring a roll-moulded stone surround and a panelled door with an overlight. The lower and middle storeys of these shops have four-pane tripartite sash windows set in segmental-headed architraves, while the upper storey contains a four-pane sash window in a simpler architrave. The rear elevation is made of random rubble and has mostly inserted and replaced windows, although some two-pane and four-pane sashes are still present.
