Description
Ty Newydd is a single-storey building with a two-room plan, oriented roughly from north-east to south-west. It is constructed of painted, roughly coursed rubblestone and features a slate roof. The front of the building has 20th-century windows in the original openings, flanking a slightly offset boarded door with a small rooflight directly above it. There are integral end stacks, with the left stack being more substantial and having slate drips.
To the left gable end, there is a slightly set-down gabled addition, while a lean-to addition is present on the right side. At the rear, there is a catslide lean-to, likely from the 19th century, on the left, and a 20th-century lean-to on the right. A flush rooflight with a vertical bar is located in the main roof slope between these additions. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
