Angel

The Angel is a two-storey building with a domestic character, designed in the Arts and Crafts style. It features rendered elevations, a slightly oversailing upper floor, and a slate roof, along with a tall rendered chimney. The building has an L-shaped plan with rounded ends and a concave curved corner, giving it a distinctive character.

On the main southeast elevation, there is a pair of multi-pane French doors that are deeply recessed at the ground floor of the southern arm, with the upper storey advanced over and supported by a tapering chamfered column. To the concave centre and right, there are two single multi-pane glazed doors, each accompanied by a small square window on either side. The upper storey includes two 2-part, 12-pane metal casements at each of the bowed ends, along with two small square lights in the centre.

The western side, which faces the road, features a part-glazed door at the bowed corner, with small square lights on both sides, and a casement window above, similar to the other elevations. To the left, there is a storeyed, flat-roofed porch that is extruded into the angle with the adjoining building (Neptune). This porch is supported by a single corner column and has an open lower section, with casement windows in the upper part. The exterior is adorned with various plaques and painted signs.
