Description
Macsen Restaurant is a shop with a dwelling above, forming part of a terrace. The building has three storeys and three bays, featuring a pebble-dashed front that is painted white, and a replaced slate roof with corbelled eaves. The lower storey dates from the late 20th century, but retains Italianate details from 1883 in the upper storeys. The middle storey includes a central four-pane sash window flanked by wider tripartite windows. Each window is framed by fluted architraves with segmental arches that form tympana; the outer tympana have painted inscriptions, while the central tympanum displays '1883' in raised letters. The upper storey features eared architraves around four-pane horned sashes. An arcaded frieze between the lintels in the upper storey is continuous with the adjacent building at No 10.
