Description
Plas Dolbenmaen is a building constructed from roughly coursed rubble stonework, topped with a roof of old small slates that are grouted. The house features a four-window bay front with chimney stacks at both ends. On the eastern side, there is a lean-to, and on the western side, there is a likely contemporaneous rear wing that also has a gable stack and is extended by a cat-slide roof. The windows, which were previously described as recessed 12-pane sash windows, were boarded over during the inspection in July 1998. There is a small fire window located at the left end of the building. At the rear, there is a door situated at the angle with the rear wing, which has a projecting stone lintel typical of Caernarfonshire. Weather coursing is present on the stacks. The farm buildings are located to the west of the house. The property was not accessible during the inspection.
