Description
Dolgoed is a building constructed of rubble stonework, featuring a slated roof supported by stone gable stacks. It has one storey and an attic, with a layout of three bays. The main entrance is through an arched doorway adorned with painted voussoirs, located on the southern front between the first and second bays. The ground floor has 2-light casement windows with top lights and slate lintels, while the upper floor showcases three raised gabled dormers. The right-hand stack is larger, likely indicating the main living room and kitchen, while the left stack appears to be a secondary addition made of large squared stone. At the rear, there is an added outshut that extends behind the right and centre bays. A substantial farm building, aligned to the left, is currently roofless.
The building was not accessible during the inspection, but the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales reports that it features a cross passage with a post and panel partition, along with a stack in the gable end and a stair alongside.
