Description

Debenhams, located at numbers 172, 174, and 196, is a symmetrical Late Georgian building dating from the 18th century. It has three storeys and a façade that features a scribed rendered front, which is splayed back at the left and right ends. The roof is covered with slate. The first and second floors have 12-pane sash windows. The shop front exhibits an overall Victorian style, with lightly carved fascia ends and panelled pilasters, although it includes modern windows. The main entrance is positioned to the right of the centre, with an additional recessed entrance to the left.
