Description
2 Bishop's Close is a symmetrical, two-storey building featuring an eight-window front made of squared rubble. It consists of two groups of three dwellings, each with advanced and gabled central entrance bays. The building has a slate roof with wide boarded eaves and end and central chimney stacks, two of which have been heightened in brick. There are band courses along the bases of the steep gables. The windows are small pane casement types with Tudor labels, except for the narrower central windows. The entrances are pointed arches with voussoirs, boarded doors, and ogee-headed lights, while the gable ends are made of rubble.
At either end of the building, there are stone screen walls that are set back and single-storey, featuring pointed arched doorways. Spearhead railings extend to the right, adjoining No 205 High Street.
