Description

Bishops Close is a symmetrical, two-storey building featuring an eight-window squared rubble front, which is divided into two groups of three dwellings. Each group has advanced and gabled central entrance bays. The building has a slate roof with wide boarded eaves and end and central chimney stacks, two of which have been heightened in brick. There are band courses along the bases of the steep gables. The windows are small pane casement types with Tudor labels, except for the narrower central windows. The entrances are pointed arches with voussoirs, boarded doors, and ogee-headed lights. The gable ends are made of rubble.

At either end of the building, there are stone screen walls that are set back and are single storey with pointed arched doorways. Spearhead railings extend to the right, adjoining No 205 High Street.
