Description

King's Arms PH is a public house, likely dating from the 18th century. It is a three-storey building with a rendered front, marked by horizontal bands at the window sills and a rusticated plinth. The roof is slate-covered, featuring a very wide pebbledash chimney stack, a skylight, and an eaves band. The windows are sash windows; those on the left have 12 panes, while those on the right have 16 panes, all with architraves. The first-floor windows have distinctive ‘Gibbsian’ surrounds. The ground floor features a deeply recessed entrance with a fascia and architraves, alongside a recessed, segmental-headed window with glazing bars. The corner on the left-hand side is chamfered at ground floor level. A single 16-pane sash window is visible at the rear.
