Description
Lower Lodge at Cefnamwlch is a gate lodge built from granite rubble stone, featuring a steep gabled roof with an off-centre stone ridge stack. The building is one storey with a loft. The north front has two 3-light casement windows that have chamfered and stopped surrounds, positioned under segmental-pointed stone voussoir heads. There is a battered plinth and a band of grey stone. The east end wall is windowless, except for a vent loop in the gable. On the ground floor to the right, there is a lean-to timber porch, with the north wall made of stone that is continuous with the main north wall. The door is located on the south side and has a shouldered head. The south side features an outshut to the left and center, with similar windows in the outshut's end wall and the house wall to the right.
