Description
The garden walls at Ty Pellaf and Rhedynog Goch are constructed of rubble stone with rough stone capping. These walls form a large rectangle around both houses, featuring a central dividing wall and a cross-wall in front of the houses. The rear wall slopes down from the outer corners to two gateways and includes lean-to earth closets in the corners, with raised stone-faced beds on each side for compost from the closets. The side walls have gates leading to paths along the front of the houses, and large vegetable gardens extend downhill from the front terrace, with additional gates in the cross-wall.
