Description
Bryn Heulog is a cottage dating from the 18th century, constructed of colour-washed rubble stone with slate roofs and clay ridge tiles. It features gable stacks and four-pane sash windows. The two-storey cottage has a two-unit plan, with a central doorway and a right-hand offset to accommodate a larger kitchen chimney. A ground floor window on the right has been replaced. Upper windows are positioned immediately below the eaves. A single-storey lean-to extension has been added to the left, and a later gabled extension with a random slate roof to the right, featuring a small-pane casement window against the cottage's gable. A doorway is present in the catslide extension to the rear. The rear elevation of the main cottage includes small stair windows to both the ground and first floors, along with a further small extension. The front and left-hand side are enclosed by a low rubble stone wall with a gate leading to a garden path.
It is reported, though the building was not inspected, that the cottage retains its original central stair and entrance hall layout, likely incorporating a kitchen to the right and a parlour to the left, with bedrooms above.
