Description
The outbuilding at the rear of The Vicarage is a lofted structure made of rubble stone with a slate roof. It features a coach house on the left side, and a laundry and stable on the right side. Most of the openings have brick cambered heads. On the left side, there are stone steps leading to a boarded loft door, which likely served as accommodation for grooms. Beneath these steps is a former kennel with a lintelled opening. To the right of the steps is a boarded door beneath a stone lintel, followed by a former coach doorway that now has an inserted up-and-over garage door. Further to the right, there is a small window and a boarded door leading to the laundry, as well as another boarded door and a small window for the stable. The building includes two loft openings, a two-light window above the coach entrance, and boarded shutters over the stables. At the far end, there is a ty bach, which has openings with blue-brick dressings and is accessed from the higher ground at the rear.
Inside, the stable on the right side has a partly cobbled floor, while the adjacent laundry retains the base of a former boiler. The unit on the left side, which likely served as a stable, also features a cobbled floor. The rear of the building is built into a bank.
