Uwchlaw'r-rhos

Uwchlaw'r-rhos is a 2-storey building with a rectangular plan, consisting of two distinct sections, situated on a slight slope and aligned roughly from north-east to south-west. The main part of the house is located to the north-east, while the lower section, which includes a former cowhouse, is attached to the south-west. The building is constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone and has a pebbledashed main section, topped with slate roofs that feature integral rendered end stacks.

The main section of the house is symmetrical, featuring tripartite sash windows, with the main sashes consisting of 10 panes, positioned on either side of a central gabled porch. This porch has a round-headed outer arch and a boarded inner door, with upper windows set within gabled eaves dormers. The lower section on the right has a sash window on the first floor and a tripartite sash window on the ground floor, along with a lean-to porch on the left that has a boarded inner door. The former cowhouse, attached to the right gable end, includes a 20th-century garage door at the front.

The house was not inspected during the survey, but the attached cowhouse features bolted A-frame trusses.
