Description
Tyddyn-isaf and Tyddyn-isaf bach is a 2-storey farmhouse with a single-storey cottage attached to the east, creating a long rectangular building that is aligned roughly east-west. The structure is built from roughly coursed rubblestone, with a more regularly coursed finish on the first floor of the farmhouse and rendered gable ends. The roofs are slate, with a shallow pitch on the farmhouse.
The cottage features a 2-light 12-paned casement window to the left, a 3-light 18-paned window in the center, both with slate cills, and a porch on the right that has a boarded outer door and a half-glazed inner door. There is a roughly central ridge stack. The farmhouse has a 3-light 18-paned casement window to the left and a 2-light 12-paned casement window to the right of a 19th-century 6-panel door, along with two 2-light 12-paned casement windows in corresponding positions on the first floor, all equipped with slate cills and integral end stacks. Additionally, there is a converted single-storey cowhouse attached to the west gable end. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
