Description

Nyffryn Bella is a gentry house built from rubble stone, featuring a slate close-eaved roof and a stone stack at the left end. There is a small pebbledashed stack on the right that has been renewed. The house has two storeys and a roughly four-window range that is heavily offset to the right. Each floor contains three renewed 16-pane sash windows, with a two-window range to the left of the door and a one-window range to the right. The windows have slab lintels, and there is a 20th-century door. The large chimney wall to the left has a tiny fire-window on each floor. The north gable end has been rebuilt in brick around 1960 and is roughcast. The south end features a small added lean-to. The rear of the house is entirely pebbledashed, with renewed windows, a central stair gable, and an added southwest rear wing that has a stone end stack. The stair gable includes a 6-pane loft light and a 12-pane main light, with a small 4-pane window on each floor to the left of the stair gable. There is a 20th-century lean-to porch to the right, situated between the gable and the rear wing.

According to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, the interior primarily dates from the 19th to 20th century, except for the ceiling beams and joists. The main beams are cross-beamed with ornate mouldings and leaf-stops, and corbels from the original roof remain.
