Description

Siop-y-Nant is a house with a larger service range to the right, built of whitewashed rubble stone and featuring close-eaved roofs made of graded slates. Each range has two stone chimney stacks, with the service range roof being slightly taller. The building is one and a half storeys high and the house has a double front with four-pane horned sash windows. The upper two windows break the eaves under stone dormer gables, while the lower two are larger and slightly offset to the left of the windows above. The front entrance is a centre ledged door with a glass panel. At the rear, there is an added outshut.

The service range to the right has a one-window range to the left of the door and a two-window range to the right. It features three eaves-breaking catslide dormers with sash windows. On the ground floor, there are three sash windows and a ledged door located centre left. The dormers include a horned 12-pane sash window on the left, a 6-pane over a 2-pane sash window in the centre-right, and a smaller 20th-century top-hung window on the right. The ground floor has a horned 12-pane sash window on the left and centre right, along with a small 6-pane casement window on the right. The east end has outside steps leading to a former loft door, which is now a window, and a door to the ground floor located to the left of the steps. The rear right features a one-window range with a catslide dormer, while the rear left has an added wing with an end stack.
