Description
Ty Bryn is a rectangular Victorian gate lodge built of brick with sandstone ashlar facings. It features a slate roof with a tiled ridge and overhanging verges adorned with decorative cusped bargeboards. A large central brick chimney has panelled sides and a moulded stone cap. The lodge includes a main two-storey gabled section, with catslide verandahs on both sides. These verandahs are slated, with boarded upper ends and bargeboards similar to those on the roof. The verandah facing the road is partially open at the front and serves as a porch, featuring a part-glazed door. The park side verandah is completely open and is supported by five wooden posts on brick plinths. The main gabled elevation is symmetrical, featuring a two-light window on the ground floor and a wooden canted oriel above, both with plain original two-pane sash windows. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
