Description
The former school hall is a small, rectangular building constructed from local rubble, dating from 1828. It features a slate roof with a small later 19th-century brick chimney on the north side. The north gable has slate verges, while the south gable displays moulded bargeboards and projecting verges. On the main east-facing side, there are two large pointed-arched windows with red brick voussoirs and projecting sills, which contain recessed multi-pane wooden casements. The south gable end also has a similar window, along with a pointed-arched entrance to the left that features a recessed boarded door. Above this window is a slate plaque inscribed with 'National School 1828'. The rear elevation and the north gable have blocked openings.
Adjoining the south gable, flush with the east elevation, is a short stretch of rubble wall that curves around to enclose a small garden or forecourt. This area includes a boarded door in a wooden frame, located immediately next to the hall, and slopes down to form a wall approximately 1 meter high.
Inside, the hall has a plain interior with a canted and boarded wooden ceiling.
