Description

Single storey croglofft cottage with converted outbuilding wings to each side, that to R (W) advanced at right angles with external steps leading to the loft; abutted by 2-unit pigsty. Built of local rubble masonry with segmental voussoir heads to openings of the cottage and L (E) wing. Modern slate roof with velux windows along the range. The cottage has rectangular stack with capping to R and larger stack to L gable; the advanced wing has a small stack in the rear (W) pitch. The cottage has a central doorway with flanking windows, the outbuilding to L has 2 doorways, part blocked and now with large casement windows; there are ventilation slits to R of the doorway at the L end and flanking the doorway to R. The range to R (W) has a single doorway to L with small light to its R, a further doorway in the return angle of the advanced wing and a wide doorway (to a former cartshed) to R.
